Voyageurs National Park in Northern Minnesota is a tapestry of lakes, wetlands, forests and horizons. Due to its scenic beauty, it was
designated a national park in 1975. Of the 218,000 acres, almost 40 percent is water making it a natural waterpark full of wildlife and
beauty. One unique feature of the park is an abundance of rock formations, some of them being the most ancient in North America. Our
adventure trip this year will be exploring the park by canoe, launching from Lake Kabetogama. The plan is to spend five nights out in
the wilderness, moving around to different campsites where we will tent camp each night. One of the days out in the park will be over
a Sabbath, which will be a neat opportunity to worship God out in the beauty of His creation. In addition to canoeing and seeing the
beauty of the park and its wildlife, we may have the opportunity to do a day hike or fish. If you plan on going, register as soon as
you can to receive an acceptance packet and start planning for the trip.
