Adventure Camp - Linville Gorge Wilderness Adventure

Experience Adventure Camp in the spectacular Linville Gorge Wilderness of Western North Carolina

The Smoky Mountains are home to an endless variety of mountains, rivers, and trails. One of the most spectacular sections of this area is Linville Gorge.

The Linville Gorge Wilderness, also called the Grand Canyon of North Carolina, is the third largest wilderness area in North Carolina. and one of only two wilderness gorges in the Southern United States. The gorge is part of the Pisgah National Forest and is formed by the Jonas Ridge on the east and Linville Mountain on the west. It is bisected by the Linville River which drops 2,000 feet into the valleys below. The terrain is steep and rugged with numerous rock formations. It is covered by dense hardwood/pine forest and a wide variety of smaller trees and other plants. While hiking in the gorge is some of the most challenging in the Southeast, the panoramic views make the effort well worthwhile.

Our trip will be demanding, but rewarding!
