The Eagle Cap wilderness of Northeastern Oregon is a popular backpacking destination in the Pacific Northwest. Considered the “Swiss Alps of Oregon”,
this wilderness area attracts outdoors enthusiasts from all over due to its breathtaking granite peaks, numerous alpine lakes, glacier carved valley
floors and mountain passes with amazing views of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forrest. This backpacking trip will follow the Wallowa River Loop Trail
and possibly include some side trips to summit the Eagle Cap, Matterhorn or Sacajawea mountain peaks (time permitting). The total approximate mileage
for this backpacking trip is 36 miles, and the hike is rated as moderate to strenuous. Base camp for this excursion will be the Wallowa Lake State
Park which is nearby Joseph, OR. The last day of camp, base camp will be the ABC Mountain Retreat in Weston, OR.

Transportation
Transportation will be provided to/from Tri-Cities Airport, or attendees will need to make their own way to base camp in Wallowa Lake State Park,
Joseph, OR.
Applicant Information
Camper: Ages 14-20.
Staff: 21 and up.
We cannot accept mini campers for adventure camp.

Deadlines
Applications wil be accepted until May 31st, 2024, or until fill, whichever comes first. Applications received after that date will be considered on a case by case basis.

Cancellation / Refund Policy
All refunds for cancellations are given at the sole discretion of the camp director on a case-by-case basis. In general, once you have been accepted to camp, and the registration period has closed (whichever
comes last) no refunds will be given.
